Astronomical Constellations of the Zodiac

Astrology like everything else has changed over time, it has advanced and studies show that astrology is not what we think it is. Astrology is based on the constellations in the night sky as they pass through the sun. The constellations that make up the astrology go around the earth and are in conjunction with the line of the equator. When the constellation is in direct alignment with the sun, this is the cause that governs what astrology is present at that moment. According to astronomers the constellations are not in alignment with the sun for an entire month, some of the constellations spend over a month and others spend as little as a week, this is due to the size of the constellation and the slight shift in the earths rotation. Now studies have released that there are actually 13 constellations that align the earth in conjunction with the equator that make up the astrological signs as we know them. The lost constellation that was left out resides between Scorpio and Sagittarius and is actually quite large, larger and brighter then the constellation of Scorpio. The missing constellation that completes the astrological signs is Ophiuchus. So the question poses if this constellation is bigger and brighter why did they choose the constellation Scorpio over Ophiuchus. Ophiuchus known as the serpent healer is and always has been the 13th constellation making up the astrological signs. Now there is speculation that there were 12 constellations chosen, one to reside over each month of the year, but astrology can be dated back to the time of the Ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, and as far back as the Sumerians. Now all of these ancient civilizations recorded the night sky and looked for signs within the heavens, and were known as the forefathers of astrology and were on the frontier of this ancient secret An interesting fact to mention here is that all of these ancient civilizations recorded time on a 13 month calendar and not 12 as there are actually 13 full moons a year, yet there were still only 12 constellations used. This then posed the next big question if these constellations were to reside over the months of the year and astrology is dated back to a time when 13 months were used why was Ophiuchus left out?             If you look into history Ophiuchus the serpent healer comes from the Greek story line of Aesclepius who was struck by lightening while bringing the hunter Orion back to life, it is believed that Zeus (lord of the earth and sky) himself struck him down with a thunderbolt. Hades,(lord of the under world)  Zeus’s brother was not impressed that Aesclepius had the ability to resurrect the dead and fearing that Aesclepius would put him out of business he demanded that Aesclepius be struck down. To honor the accomplishments of Aesclepius also known as Asklepjion, it is said that Zeus set him in the sky and gave him the Greek name Ophiuchus.

Aesclepius was a Greek deity whose attributes were nearly identical to those of the great I-Em-Hetap or Imhotep from the ancient Egyptian civilization. Imhotep was linked to the priesthood of RA (the Sun G-d) becoming the chief minister of the second king of the Egyptian third dynasty. Imhotep was one of the greatest healers of the time and over the years he has gained the recognition of becoming the first man of science in recorded history. As Imhetop`s great deeds were spread across the lands he was brought to the City of Memphis, and adopted in the name of love as the son of Apollo, Greek G-d of the Sun. The Greeks then build a temple named to Asklepjion (Imhetop’s Greek G-d name). Similar to Ophiuchus, Imhotep was almost removed from history, his name was removed from many plaques and mantels and it was with great determination that the achievements that Imhetop accomplished that his name will be remembered.

Today Asklepjion is known on a universal level of the Patron of physicians, being refereed to throughout the history of the world in alchemical, metaphysical, and mundane medical texts and treatises as the man who had the ability to revive the dying and recently dead using the blood or venom of snake. It was a common practice to use the blood or venom of snakes in the beginning of medical treatments. Aesclepius is always mentioned in connection with snakes as a means of healing and used Serpent of Epidarus as his personal professional emblem.

Today the caduceus is known worldwide as the medical symbol and is recognized on a global scale. This symbol has been used in Ancient Egyptian times in the rivalry between the biblical staff of Aaron the Hebrew and the Uraeus Pharaoh. The caduceus also dates back to the time of the ancient Sumerians when this symbol represented DNA and RNA in science as well as Kundalini in the esoteric.

Ophiuchus the Serpent Healer is the resurrector the symbol of life eternal and this figure has been portrayed throughout many different ancient civilizations and has taking on many different forms. The ability to heal the body from death, to resurrect the body from the land of the dead, to live forever, eternal life, why was this hidden, why do so many people fear snakes, what is the secret behind Ophiuchus.
